Development of experimental tumors in the ovary of a rat after transplantation into spleen.

چکیده
The ovary is itself a hormone secreting organ, and it has been shown that some ovarian tumors also secrete hormones. Granulosa cell tumors and theca cell tumors are hormone secreting tumors. There have been many reports on the histogeneses, character, and nomenclatures of these tumors. In 1944, Biskind et al. reported the development of granulosa cell tumors and luteoma by intrasplenic ovarian autotransplantation in castrated female rats. Since that time, transplantation has been used for many investigational studies of hormone dependent tumors. Many researchers recognize that tumors are produced by changing hormonal conditions, but the production of a tumor by this process and the change in hormones before and after tumor production needs further study. Using Biskind's method, the authors morphologically examined tumor production from the initial change of transplanted ovarian grafts. The influence of gonadotropin on the production and development of tumors was then studied. The results of this work are reported here.

O-10: The Effects of Different Transplantation Sites on Follicular Surviving and Apoptosis Incidenceof Intact Whole Rat Ovaries after Autotransplantation
Background: Limited and fixed number of ovarian follicles undergo reducing changes from birth till menopause. In cancerous patients who exposed to sterilizing treatments such as chemotherapy, follicle decrease is faster and dominant. Main fertility preservation technique for these patients is ovarian cryopreservation and transplantation. Reanastomosis between recipient site and invader tissue i...
متن کاملAuto-transplantation of whole rat ovary in different transplantation sites
This study was carried out to assess the different ovarian transplantation sites after short-time autografting. Female rats were randomized into five groups, with six rats in each group, including control (intact), cervical subcutaneous transplanted (CST), back subcutaneous transplanted (BST), subfascial transplanted (SFT) and intramuscular transplanted (IMT) groups. In all experimental groups,...
متن کاملP-80: Histological Assessment and Oestrous Cycle Restoration after Vit-rified-Warmed Rat Ovarian Tissue Autotransplantation, Using Hyaluronic AcidHydrogel Scaffold
Background: Follicular pool is reduced after transplantation of vitrified ovary. Therefore, methods should be improved to accelerate ovarian function revival and maintain follicular reserve. In this study hyaluronic acid hydrogel as a scaffold was used to improve restoration of ovarian oestrous cycle. Materials and Methods: 79 mature (~8 weeks) rats having normal estrous cycles were divided int...
متن کاملExpression of Apoptotic Genes after Autotransplantation of Vitrified Rat Ovary Encapsulated with Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel
Introduction: Ischemia followed by apoptosis and follicles mortality are problems that occur after cryopreservation and ovarian tissue transplantation. The present study used hyaluronic acid hydrogel as a capsule to reduce ischemia and apoptosis in vitrified ovarian tissue transplantation of rats. Material & Methods: In total, 22 adult female rats (~ 8-week old) with normal estrous cycle were o...

Background: Histological and histometrical effects of Fennel Essential Oil (FEO) on ovary structure were studied during postnatal development in female wistar rats. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, the female rats, after parturition divided in control, sham and experimental groups with equal number of female pups for each mother at random. Sham 1 and experimental 1 groups consisted of m...
